Chemistry 1-2 is a comprehensive introduction to elementary chemistry. This course is based on the California State Content Standards and meets the lab science requirement for entrance to any school in the UC or California State University system. Currently there are no prerequisites for taking this class but it is strongly recommended that students be concurrently enrolled in intermediate algebra or a higher level math class. Students enrolled in lower level math classes may find some difficulty in this class but can be successful if they seek available help as soon as it is needed. Tutoring can be obtained after school every Tuesday and Thursday in the AP lounge in room 201 or in the tutoring center Monday through Thursday in room 709.
